The heated floor screeding option is varied in the floorings available to you as it suits almost anything, but we suggest carpet, timber or ceramics for the best results. If you’re opting for carpet in your interior, think about the space that you’re filling. Carpets are notoriously hard to maintain and so don’t suit frequented communal spaces such as entrances, but are better suited to personal spaces. Carpet is fantastic at creating a warm, intimate feeling, and is best displayed in a room of comfort such as a bedroom or living room. When choosing carpet, consider the environment it creates – a warm environment should accessorised with warm accessories, and dark woods, rich oranges and reds, and soft lighting all complement the space.
Wood 22 Underfloor Heating
The clue is in the name – Wood 22 is best suited to timber floors! Having floorboards around your home allows spaces to maintain practicality and cleanliness, as wood can wear and age constantly and still maintain a sense of quality and design. The beauty of timber flooring is that it can be coloured to your specifications – you might want to keep it a light sanded tone, you might favour a more traditional dark varnish, or you might follow in the footsteps of Abigail Ahern and paint your floorboards a moody grey or shocking pink. You can furnish wood floors in almost any way, but try to contrast your materials. Wood is juxtaposed and consequently complemented by soft cottons, rough linens and striking velvet accessories.
EPS16 Ultra Thin Underfloor Heating
Our EPS 16 flooring can receive almost any covering, but is designed so it can be tiled directly onto. Ceramic flooring is a stylish and practical option for your home, best suiting areas that receive mess such as entrances, kitchens and conservatories. The choice of tiled flooring is vast, from small and understated tiles to traditional black and white chequers to bold, colourful additions to your home. Tiles can sometimes create a cold atmosphere in a room, so either work with that feeling or try and accessorise to create warmth. If you’ve opted for traditional tiling, you can keep a traditional atmosphere with a grand piano, vintage coat stand and authentic brass doorknobs, or alternatively you can choose very modern insertions such as brushed steel sculptures, large illuminated letters or eccentric patterned rugs to contrast the original styling.
Commercial Structural Slab Underfloor Heating
This underfloor heating is best suited for vast spaces, which may be ideal if you’re considering a Grand Designs-esque build. Large spaces such as loft apartments offer a brazen palette of opportunity for the budding interior stylist, and best suit an industrial brushed concrete flooring. You can accessorise a loft in almost any way, as it offers little in the way of restriction, but a large space can alienate furniture so try and choose large pieces and long rugs to fill it. If an open space seems a little daunting, divide the area with bookcases and screens to create temporary private spaces.
