Here’s a video which gives us a good look at the work that goes into installing the right kind of underfloor heating for every home. In this video, from the Terra Therma YouTube channel, we see one of Terra Therma‘s technical experts installing an XPS overlay system across a load-bearing floor. As well as importing to the property the high utility of the XPS overlay system, which greatly aids the insulation of underfloor heating systems, the installation also takes into account the sub floor’s underlaying moisture barrier, designed to stop the spread of rising damp. The video shows polythene sheeting being laid over this, on top of which will be placed an Engineered Wood flooring.
Although this video may make installing underfloor heating appear easy, always be sure that you opt for fitting by qualified and accredited underfloor heating when opting for this most energy-efficient of household heating methods.
