Underfloor heating is just one of the home comforts available in the world’s most expensive camper van, which is on sale now for a mere £1.9 million. The eleMMent palazzo, sold by Austrian vehicle manufacturers Marchi Mobile, is virtually a palace on wheels, measuring 40 feet long and with a 215 square foot pop-up roof terrace known as the ‘sky lounge’ which is where the underfloor heating comes in, along with a bar, a large master bedroom with a 40-inch plasma TV, a full en suite bathroom with rainfall shower, lounge area and a drivers cab with its own bunk bed.
The interior is leather-trimmed throughout and extras can include wi-fi internet, a real fireplace, streaming video surveillance and satellite TV. The engine is not being skimped on either, with a 510bhp engine capable of letting the 20 tonne vehicle cruise at a top speed of 93mph. Although a mass market is not expected, Marchi Mobile said that it expects rock stars or F1 drivers who require a high-end travelling home to buy one.
