Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS)

Terra Therma are an MCS certified installer of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) and solar thermal systems.

The MCS is supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) who certify that the renewable energy products we supply, comply with a set of quality product requirements. We are also an MCS certified installer, demonstrating that we consistently install our renewable energy products to the highest industry standards.

The MCS is a requirement to qualify for the government’s financial incentives, which include the Feed-in Tariff, Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Renewable Heat Premium Phase 2 schemes.

Visit http://www.microgenerationcertification.org/ for further information about the MCS.

Feed-In Tariffs (FITs)

Feed-In Tariffs act as an incentive to consumers to install renewable energy electricity generating technologies, such as a Terra Therma Photovoltaic (PV) system.

This means that you receive payment for the electricity you generate, even if you use it. Also, your surplus electricity can be sold back to the national grid, which means you can earn money for the electricity you generate via your PV system.

For further information about FITs and to check your eligibility visithttp://www.decc.gov.uk/ or http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/

Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme

The introduction of the RHI scheme is to encourage consumers to install renewable energy heating technologies, such as a Terra Therma Ground Source Heat Pump, or Air Source Heat Pump.

The RHI scheme provides financial support for the installation of renewable energy heat technologies. Fur further information about the RHI scheme and to check your eligibility, visit http://www.decc.gov.uk/ orhttp://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/.

Energy Saving Trust

Terra Therma are approved by the Energy Saving Trust to implement energy saving improvement measures in your home.

Renewable Energy Grants

Grants are available to help you implement energy saving measures in your home, such as installing energy efficient boilers, heating, loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. Households on certain benefits may qualify for financial support to improve their heating and energy efficiency.

The Warm Front scheme may be able to provide you with financial assistance for replacing insulation and heating measures. Other schemes are available if you are over 70 years old or in receipt of benefits to improve your loft and cavity wall insulation.
